The irregular Kawaranai Mono writer, miharusshi, makes her comeback! I’ve pretty much made this segment, “Top <insert season and year> Plan-to-watch Picks”, an excusable excuse to write here in cladinblue’s aniblog. Since it’s mid-December, Christmas is just around the corner, and fall anime season is about to end, it’s time to place our bets for the next season. Just to simplify things, next season is Winter 2015 according to Taiga (I don’t really like writing it as Winter ‘14/’15).
Speaking of winter, Winter 2014’s Gin no Saji 2, Noragami and Nisekoi were my top favorite shows. But the OVAs that came out around that time were sweet treats. We got to see Natsume and Nyanko-sensei again in Natsume Yuujinchou OVA: Itsuki Yuki no Hi ni, two years after the long absence of the TV series. Ginko returned to lead us to a world of wonders in Mushishi Special: Hihamukage, which served as the hope for all the fans for sequels (which were realized this year, too!) since the first TV anime aired in 2005. From that special, we all saw how much the art style has changed. I personally like all the changes!

Anyway, please do check out the upcoming shows. The following are just some of the sources where you can browse the list of new shows: Neregate |AniChart | LiveChart. Continue reading
I first saw it years ago and it instantly planted itself into my memory. It really showed things that can only be done, or at least are best done, with animation. And it did so with execution I’d like to call perfect. It’s really something special.
I am a bit saddened that some (I hope they’re not very many) people seem to not get it. I don’t think it’s particularly hard to understand. A lot of things point to the most important fact that those people seem to have missed. Oh, and that title’s also a giveaway.
BTW, I made my twitter account recently. Follow me if you don’t hate me. My twitter’s lonely. 😦 But that’s probably because I just followed a few people and never started convos and almost never interacted with internet anipeople lol

Just an unorganized
post about Log Horizon’s studio change and some things that irritate me. Continue reading
This time it’s an (almost) solo work by Ryouma Ebata on the underappreciated sakuga show of the season. Hopefully it still has many sakuga moments in store for the rest of its run.
A few, maybe two or three cuts appear to be based on fashion show walks and poses, and those looked and moved amazing.
The wonderfully animated swaying, shifting balance moments and small movements that were used a lot really feels nice.
Also, fhana ftw.

Yozakura Quartet should be a supernatural shounen series with lots of action when you read the premise.
It is, but also not. Continue reading
How many times have I used this screencap?
We did it for the previous season
. Why not do it every season?
With summer ending, it’s time to do this again. I actually forgot about previous season’s post but miharusshi reminded me and suggested we do it every season going forward. I’m cool with that so here it is! Continue reading
I don’t know why I’m writing about something from last year.
armin female version. loljk that’s maiwaifu
There are times when characters make stupid decisions or don’t decide at all. There are times when (non-villain) characters do things that will only cause harm. Many times, people will get angry (I will never be able to relate on getting angry at fiction.) at those characters for doing the “wrong” things — for being human. Assuming that those “poor” actions made sense for the character at that point, those actions should never be a reason to consider the characters bad. Being a good character isn’t about doing the “right” things. Again, they may simply be using dislike and bad interchangeably, which is wrong IMO.
Armin is a much disliked character in Shingeki no Kyojin. They say he’s a wimp — that he’s so indecisive and is a coward. I personally don’t like Armin that much, but I think he’s the one of the best characterized in SnK
, not that there are a lot of them in SnK. Continue reading
For this month I’ll share an animated trailer for a comic last year.
Mix the good (or at least what I like) from both animation styles/approaches and you should get something like this. Life from the ‘loose’ and frame-heavy west plus the more varied cinematic approach of (good) anime.

So, yeah. We’re doing this on a regular basis. I rarely post in this blog (Sumimasen!), but at least, for now, I have
come up with a reason to post something. 🙂
I assume that We all know that autumn is a visually sentimental season, exploited by writers and artists to bring out raw human emotions. Last year’s Fall line-up was really good (at least, for me), and I enjoyed most of the shows that aired that time. Can we expect this upcoming season’s lineup to be as good as last year’s? Naw. The season doesn’t have to do with how excellent or mediocre the anime would turn out. Nevertheless, we can always be hopeful of what this season has in store for our entertainment us. 😉
Just to be consistent with the post for Summer 2014, I used the same sources (Neregate | AniChart | LiveChart ) for choosing my top picks, although there’s no guarantee that I can faithfully follow their episodes weekly. It’s important to note that with AniChart and LiveChart, the links above may not work anymore once we enter next year, 2015.
Alright, I somehow managed to write some introductory paragraphs. 🙂 Let’s move on to our lists. Continue reading
